In 2014 I was asked to build a digital research infrastructure at The University of Oxford. Two years later we had a platform holding 6 million NHS patient records that enabled research studies that simply weren’t possible before. The technology was the straightforward part.

The NHS National Programme for IT taught me things about delivery that 30 years of smaller engagements
