Published: April 2026 • Commitment to Net Zero by 2030
1. Our commitment
A-Commotion Ltd is committed to achieving net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2030 at the latest. We recognise the urgency of climate change and our responsibility — however small our footprint — to act. This plan sets out our current position, our reduction targets, and the steps we will take to reach net zero.
2. Current carbon baseline
As a small, predominantly remote-working consultancy, our carbon footprint is relatively modest. We have not yet conducted a formal carbon emissions measurement, and we are committed to completing a baseline assessment in the 2026–2027 financial year.
Our anticipated emission sources include:
- Scope 1 (Direct): Minimal — no owned business premises or company vehicles
- Scope 2 (Indirect energy): Home office energy use and any shared workspace use
- Scope 3 (Value chain): Business travel (train, air, road), digital infrastructure and cloud services, associate travel, purchased goods and services
3. Reduction targets
- Complete a formal carbon baseline measurement by Q2 2027
- Reduce total emissions by 50% against the baseline by Q4 2028
- Achieve net zero by 2030 through a combination of reduction and high-quality, independently verified carbon offsetting for any residual emissions
4. Current and planned reduction activities
Working practices
- Remote-first working model minimises commuting and office energy consumption
- Video conferencing used as the default for meetings, reducing travel
- Digital-first approach for all documents and communications, minimising paper use
Business travel
- Rail travel preferred over air or road for all UK client meetings
- Grouping site visits to minimise journey frequency
- We will adopt a formal travel policy by Q2 2027 that prioritises lowest-emission options
Digital infrastructure
- We will prioritise cloud providers and technology suppliers with verified net zero or carbon neutral commitments
- Regular review of software subscriptions to remove unused services and reduce digital waste
Supply chain
- We will ask associates and partners about their own carbon reduction commitments
- We will favour suppliers with transparent environmental policies where alternatives exist
5. Offsetting
We recognise that some residual emissions may be unavoidable. For these, we are committed to purchasing high-quality, independently verified carbon offsets (such as those certified under the Gold Standard or Verified Carbon Standard) to achieve our net zero target by 2030.
6. Reporting and review
This plan will be reviewed and updated annually. Once our baseline measurement is complete, we will publish our annual emissions data on this page alongside progress against our targets.
7. Approval
This plan has been approved by the director of A-Commotion Ltd.
